“Impact Investing: The Creative Use of Non-Grant Resources” was the theme for the quarterly meeting of the Mississippi Association of Grantmakers held on Friday, July 7, 2017.  Presentations were made by:

Gladys Washington, Deputy Director of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation provided an overview on Mission Investing and the Babcock Foundation’s experience with such investments.

Marcie Skelton, Director of the W. E. Walker Foundation discuss the Walker Foundation’s perspective on impact investing in the Jackson community.

Phil Eide, Senior Vice President at Hope Enterprise Corporation discussed his organization’s work in impact investing.

Sheila Wilson Jackson, Director of HUD’s Office of Public Housing in Jackson, presented information on the development of the Midtown Housing Development.
